We were delighted to welcome Taor Morris and the members of her group Potluck Cornwall to the deli last night for an evening of Tapas & Small Plates.
In total, 22 dedicated foodies took over our upstairs dining space to enjoy a rather substantial feast of Spanish-inspired dishes.
The menu included some traditional favourites like ajo blanco and padron peppers but we also tempted diners to try less well known Spanish dishes like sweet potato with smoky bravas sauce and salt cod salad with peppers & olives.
There were definitely no hungry diners come the end of the evening. In fact we had to provide doggy bags for a few who were beaten by the idea of finding space in their stomachs for the delicious prune & honey cake.
But a very brave few stopped at the counter downstairs on their way home to pick up a few extra treats to take home with them, including our delicious Portuguese custard tarts & vibrant French macarons. Maybe a treat for the weekend once tonight's food has all gone down...?!
Our big thanks to Taor for organising a great evening. And to all our diners for their enthusiasm and interest in trying new flavours - and for their dogged perseverance to fit those last few dishes in. We hope to welcome some of you back again to sample our daytime deli menu or at another of our dinner nights. Next month we're thinking of heading to Mexico.... Arriba Arriba!
